So, you want to know how I did? Good question!
Daily exercise--almost daily through probably August--then, well, life got in the way. My excuse? I started a temp job 4 days a week, in addition to the FT job that I currently have.
1/2 marathon--nope, not in 2012. Does it count that I did one in 2010?
Lose 30 #--well, not 30, but....8-10. All is not lost.
Pray daily-- not daily. I know I can do better.
Start a blog- I signed up with blogger in 2008, and just started yesterday.
Volunteer--Not so hot on this one either. I'm not doing so well, am I?
Give to a charity-- add it to the list...In my defense, I give randomly. If I see that someone needs something, I will give it to them. I give to church. I give to every child that rings my doorbell selling something.
Learn Spanish--Yes, learn a new language in a year. Hahaha. Funny stuff. Nope, didn't happen.
Be thankful. Every day-- this should be easy, right? I'm trying. I really am. I think that sometimes it's hard to see through the layers of daily activities that I have to get done. I AM blessed, and thankful for what I have. I am. And through the mundane activities of life--like laundry, picking up after kids, shuttling kids to events, I have to keep reminding myself of that. It will stay on the list.
I have added others to the list this year:
Do something kind, everyday, for my husband and kids.
Take more pictures-- This is a major hint for the camera that I want to get.
Random acts of kindness for friends, neighbors, strangers.
Listen more, talk less. This one is for my kids and husband.
I just noticed the theme... I must think I need to be nicer. Maybe I do. Maybe that's why I have started writing. It's my epiphany.
